Sarah Berger, actress, director and activist is putting together another huge project after the success of her 2017 Woman and War Festival. It is called We Are Here and to bring it to life Sarah is seeking input from women everywhere.
She is looking for content, stills and footage to add to her trailer
In the video below Sarah discusses We Are Here a year-long curated exploration, documentation and celebration of the lives, achievements, journeys and stories of women over 50 from all walks of life and from all over the world. She talks about what inspired her to create it and what she hopes she will achieve with it.
We Are Here will create a living history, bringing to life the experiences of these women, chronicling the changes in their culture and worlds. She says, “We give voice to the everyday as well as the extraordinary, be they artists, industry giants, waitresses, inventors, politicians, housewives, mothers, grandmothers, farmers, astronauts, mechanics, medics. They tell us how they’ve arrived where they are, what paths they have taken, and how they are shaping their own environment, and the world’s future.
“We are an enormous, too-often-untapped resource, we are role models to younger generations, our hard-won wisdom can start to mend the world—and we want to share the knowledge and richness of our collective and individual experience while making a lasting tribute to it.”
