Rahela Trust Match Fund Campiagn

In less than a week, from Wednesday 11th to Wednesday 18th October 2023, the Rahela Trust aims to raise £5,000 via The Big Give’s Woman & Girls Match Fund campaign.
This campaign won’t just support individual scholars. Between 2022 – 2023, our scholars reached 370 women and children through their community initiatives.
We want to share a story about one scholar, *Farzaneh, whose community initiative focuses on organising peer-to-peer English Language learning for women and girls in her community, using online chatrooms such as WhatsApp and Google Meet.

“We learn 20 English words daily, create sentences for them, record our voice, and keep it in the group. We check each other’s homework, and every Tuesday, we have an English session via Google Meet”. When speaking to Rahela Sidiqi during a recent mentoring session, Farzaneh* wanted her to share this with Rahela Trust supporters: “Thank you very much for your kindness, and thank you for being with us!”

The Big Give will generously match funds up to £5,000 next week, effectively doubling every donation made, with a potential total of £10,000 to support Afghan women’s education. This means one donation = twice the impact. We aim to achieve this, and you can help us make this happen by donating through The Big Give Campaign page.
